This is a painting of a dear friend of mine. Originally from the Congo, she has an incredible story of survival and heroism. Half my age, she is nonetheless one of my biggest inspirations. The hands in the picture represent the hands of her son, daughter and husband. She and her children named the painting while we were eating breakfast at a local restaurant. I think the name suits her well.
